Club meetings are now at Mary Lou's shop in Orange, Texas.  The September
meeting will be on the second Monday the 8th due to the 1st being Labor Day.
The daytime meetings will start at 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM.

Oklahoma State Sugar Art Show and Competition in Tulsa Oklahoma in
conjunction with the Tulsa State Fair...this is lots of fun and if you get
tired of looking at cakes (like we ever could) you can tour the booths at
the fair or eat fair food  (yum)

The first annual
"Powder Sugar Pajama Party"

We will have a sleep over pajama party all night lock-in with
demonstrations, mini demos, junk food, music, coffee (lots of coffee!) and
more fun than you can shake a spatula at!
 Cost will be 40.00 for the
overnight in Winnie
.  We will be having some hands on & some
demonstrations along with some really nifty raffles!!!  If Devin is in town
he will be doing the cooking YUM!!!  If not it will be something different!

Demonstrations/Hands On

If you want to participate, you will need gum paste/fondant, airbrush
colors and dusts, paint brushes, pad, puff, rolling pin, oak, maple or grape
leaf cutters/veiners, wire, gum glue, sponge, g
um paste tools, tea cup and
saucer.  


Fall Leaves - Denise Talbot
this will be hands on or just watch!  It is up to you.  If you want to
participate, you will need gum paste/fondant, airbrush colors and dusts,
paint brushes, pad, puff, rolling pin, oak, maple or grape leaf
cutters/veiners, wire, gum glue, sponge, ball tool

Green Mums - Betty Perrin - Darling little mums/daisies to bring a touch
of spring to your arrnagements.  
Same as above but bring daisy cutters

Teacup and Saucer - Jacque Benson
Jacque will show us how to make her fabulous tea cup and saucer.  She will
provide a saucer to paint and you will make a tea cup to take home and
paint later.  Bring a tea cup and saucer for templates, and above items
.

Li'l Cowboy Boots - Kelly Hall
Kelly is going to demo her little boots.  She does have cutters for these so
this would be your opportunity to get a set of cutters to make these
darling boots!

Tree Stump Cake - Denise Talbot
Create a tree stump cake with a tip 25 and 3 colors of icing and an
airbrushed "carved names" on the top.  Everyone will make a miniature of
this cake to learn how to created this darling "guy" cake.

Turkey and Dressing - CeCe Gordon
She makes the
cutest little turkey cake that is perfect for the holidays!  
It looks just like a little roasted turkey with cake "dressing".  Amaze your
holiday guests with this precious sculpted cake!

Hand Dusted Sea Shells - Denise Talbot
Hand dust sea shells that look real!  

Clusters of Grapes - Betty Perrin
Make a cluster of grapes to add a little punch to your arrangements.

Mary Lou's shop will have a grand opening on Tuesday, August 26,
2008.  We hope everyone can come out and support Mary Lou's
grand opening and enjoy the demonstrations!  Thank you Mary Lou
for allowing us to have our meetings at the store!  We really
appreciate it!!
Come join us for a PLAYDAY on Sunday September 14, 2008.  It
will start at 1:00 PM - 5:00.  Denise Talbot will be teaching wired
gum paste fall leaves and Dena Bryngleson will be teaching a
wonderful carved pumpkin!!  Members $10.00 and non members
$15.  The PlayDay will be at Mary Lou's shop in Orange.  PlayDay is
limited to 15 people due to space limitations.  Email
